Ingredients
- 4 Tablespoon Butter.
- 1 Small onion, thinly chop.
- 2 Chopped cloves Garlic.
- ½ Green bell pepper, thinly chop.
- ½ Green red pepper, thinly chop.
- 2 Cups white cabbage, thinly chop.
- 2 Teaspoon Dried parsley.
- 2 Liters chicken broth.
- 1 Chicken breast, shredded.
- 1 Cup sour cream.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Toppings (Optional)
- 4 Tablespoon Grated cheese.
- 1 Jalapeno, cut into strips.
- 1 Tablespoon Sour cream.
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients; cut chicken into strips, crush garlic, wash peppers, remove seeds and veins, then cut into strips. The internal veins of peppers should not be used because they tend to make stews bitter and, so it is better to discard them.
- Place the butter in a wide bottom pan, when it has melted and starts to bubble, add the onion and crushed garlic. Stir constantly until the onion is transparent, then add the peppers while stirring every two or three minutes.
- Combine chicken, cabbage, parsley, and chicken broth. Cook over high heat for about fifteen minutes until the cabbage is cooked and the soup has dried a little.
- Finally, before turning off, add the cream, stir with a spoon until completely dissolved. Turn off, and let the covered soup rest for about five minutes.
- Serve with toppings of your choice.
